What You Need To Keep Your Car Clean

Keeping your car clean will extend the benefits you receive from having a clean house. There is enough chaos in traffic, no need for you to feel chaos in your car, too. Just like with a clean home, your clean car will help you be focused, relaxed, and less stressed overall… no matter what the kids are screaming about in the back seat. To keep your car clean, keep these simple items in your car:

KEEP a trash bag in the car. Not one of those cutesy tiny car trash bins that can only hold a gum wrapper and a tissue. You need a trash bag that will actually hold your drive thru trash, and more! Then REPLACE the trash bag.

KEEP baby wipes in your glove compartment. They are perfect for all the little messes that happen in the car. They are a life saver!

In the kitchen we use placemats, in the car we use floor mats. Clean these OFTEN and you’ll be surprised how clean the rest of the car stays.

What does a car smell like when the “new car” smell has retired? The answer can vary, but instead of adding an air freshener to the mix of questionable odors, spray the interior with an “odor eliminating” spray and leave the windows open while it dries. This way, the smell will better resemble the way it looks... fresh and clean!

Many of you may already store reusable grocery bags in your car for grocery shopping. But even if you don't, KEEP two or three in your car to make it easy for all the kids (and for you) to purge the items that have some how migrated from the house and into your car. By keeping these sturdy canvas bags available, you car will be less likely to start looking like a mobile toy box.

Make it a habit to store these simple items in your car, and you'll find keeping your car clean easier than ever.
