I believe that everything needs a place, in order to have organization.
And as my daughter accumulated more and more headbands, I knew something
needed to be done. Or in this case, made.
It doesn’t matter how many hairbands or hair clips she has, she’s
a headband girl, so we wanted something that would keep them organized
but also easily accessible, and the headband organizer turned out to be
perfect! Not only was it quick (it took me less than 15 minutes to make)
it was also simple to make (only 3 materials needed!)
Follow these easy instructions to make your own headband organizer:
The materials you will need include:
- An empty cylinder container (wide enough for the headbands to cling to it)
- A candlestick
- Duck tape
Follow these steps to make a headband organizer:
Step 1: Strip the outside wrapper from your cylinder container.
Steps 2-4: Wrap the outside of the container with duck tape, but not the ends for now.
Steps 5-6: Use the duck tape to attach the candlestick to the bottom of your container.
Step 7: Secure the candlestick with additional duck tape by wrapping the duck
tape around the bottom of the container but place it so half of the tape
is hanging off the edge.
Step 8: Use scissors and cut slits every 1-2 inches all the way around.
Step 9: Push each slit down, one at a time, so it lays over the top of the candlestick.
Step 10: Repeat steps 7-9 to secure more of the candlestick, but this time start
the tape where the candlestick meets the container.
Feel free to add additional duck tape as decoration to the candlestick.
Also, you can keep the lid to the container and instead of sealing it
shut, it can be used for additional storage space!
And that’s it, you’re done!
